About Me

Ive always loved and valued the Arts especially the freedom of creativity and self-expression.  After growing up in local theatre, Ive found a mid career creative life and passion in painting!  I started painting acrylics in 2009/10 at The Baum School of Art.  'While my painting may have evolved over time, my love of vibrant color combined with fierce, bold, impasto, and impressionistic brushstrokes remain to Take Center Stage.  I love to explore the impression of subject matter with thick impasto brushstrokes and I am as interested in the process of painting as the final product of my art.  My subject matters are typically decadent and sweet as I have learned through the harsh lens of pandemic that life is just way too short to not indulge in the sweetness and sweet things of life.  Whether desserts, koi, herons, or zen candle still-lifes, I tend to look through a kaleidoscope lens of vibrant colors.  I paint what my heart radiates and translates.  I paint from my heart.  I hope you enjoy my art.   Hugs,  Pam Dent
